Roxanne Wharton

Hi, I’m Roxie! I’ve been part of AJ Centre for Dance since Amie’s very first inductions and have never left. Dance has always been a huge part of my life. I studied it at GCSE, A-Level, and recently completed my degree in Contemporary Dance at Edge Hill University. 

I discovered a real love for teaching during my studies and have gained valuable experience when working with Progressive Sports, leading sessions in schools, after-school clubs, and through choreography projects I did throughout my time at University. I’ve also loved helping backstage at AJ’s annual showcases, coming back and getting stuck in is something that I absolutely adore! Seeing the talent, love and pure joy that everyone has on that stage is something so special! 

Dance brings me so much fulfilment, and I’m so excited to be a part of the team at AJ Centre for Dance and completing my Level 6 Professional Teaching Diploma, which will give me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and skills as a teacher.
